Analyzing Network Shares Using UNC Path Names

In order to simplify the disk space analysis process for networked computers and/or NAS storage devices, DiskSavvy allows one to specify directories that should be processed using UNC path names without mounting each network share as a local disk.

When working with UNC path names, it is important to keep in mind that all file management operations such as copy, move and delete will be performed using UNC path names and the user should have appropriate permissions on each specific network share and/or NAS storage device.

DiskSavvy v17.0 adds the disk space analysis reports sidebar view allowing one to open previously saved disk space analysis reports directly from the DiskSavvy GUI application. In addition, the new product version improves the layout of the DiskSavvy Server GUI application, improves the disk space analysis log view and fixes a number of bugs.

DiskSavvy v16.9 adds disk space usage pie charts to the built-in disk space monitor allowing one to continuously monitor one or more disks or network shares and send E-Mail notifications or perform automatic disk space analysis operations when the amount of the free disk space drops below the user-specified limit. In addition, the new product version improves the main DiskSavvy GUI application and fixes a number of bugs.
